Each December I compile a list of debuts by Black authors that are being released in the year ahead. As usual, I’ve mostly focussed on novels and blurbs that have piqued my interest, though I’ve tried to cater to varying genres and tastes.

Supporting Black authors is crucial to diversifying the publishing industry and pre-orders are an easy way to demonstrate demand for underrepresented narratives.
